About Me

I am a pubtourist from Budapest, Hungary. What does it mean? You can get close to it with the English words: barhopper or pubcrawler. The main thing is that I walk from pub to pub to explore, not the bottom of the next glass as first priority, but actually the next pub. I like these reflections of social life, which I think are more spontaneous and revealing than anything else. I believe that a city or a country draws the most complete and most honest picture of itself through the atmosphere of its various pubs and with the conversations there. The zero milestone and epicenter in my pubtour (in Hungarian we literally use this word) is Budapest. If you are a tourist or a new expat, you will find here a useful and unique guide to our pubs. Because I live here, I have the chance to do the most complete job on this scene. Although whenever i have the chance, I travel gladly outside the city or the country borders to get to know new worlds with the pubs in leading roles. When I am on a journey my real web-browsers or tourist guides are the pubs and the current guests are the search results.
